Dr. Madhumita Mandal has worked in the healthcare industry as a dental practitioner for around a decade guiding patients on dental health, diet, medications, treatment and wellbeing. She has worked as a Senior Associate Consultant post her Hospital Management diploma from Pune University and MBA from FIIB, Delhi. When Madhumita is not working, she loves to write fiction for adults and children as her favourite rejuvenation activity that restores her inner peace and guides her creativity for a better use.
Her interest in holistic health grew as she witnessed health as the most primary source of happiness for an individual. The two dimensions of health: length and quality of life impact people of all strata. Drivers of health like social and economic environment, health behaviours, physical needs and clinical care available are complex and interconnected. Instead of only depending upon external healthcare services, which is of course needed as per conditions, can health-improving activities like exercise, yoga, nutrition, mindfulness and lifestyle can transform individuals. This quest for intersectional transformation of health, mindfulness, behaviour change along with her personal journey of metamorphosis fighting Polycystic Ovarian Disease syndrome, gestational diabetes and postpartum depression motivated her to undertake this initiative on a larger scale.
